LCBC Eco Market- Pay It Forward
Select number of ticketsWe introduced a Pay It Forward initiative for our LCBC Eco Market as a response to the current economic climate and allow others to experience the kindness we have in our fantastic community.
How does this work?
Members of the community can donate £3 for a post-it note to be added to our notice board for someone to use against a basket from our Eco Market. This can be either in person at our Community Hub, or via this page.
A note will be created with your name and message if you wish to include one which will be placed on our board. Please add this message in the box below. If you prefer to stay anonymous, please state this too.
If you wish to take up an offer towards a basket, just ask one of our staff or volunteers whilst there. The notes can be used for food, non-foods or flowers or as ‘part payment’.
We will not ask for any evidence of your financial circumstances. There is no criteria to access these; we truly understand that anyone can fall on hard times and that frequently, it is difficult to make ends meet. We also want users to feel valued by taking advantage of a post it note, and appreciate that there is kindness in this world.
There is no expectation to pay this back, though you would be welcome to contribute once circumstances change and ‘pay it forward’ for another who falls on hard times. Kindness can be shown in many ways, not just financially, so checking on a neighbour, sharing food, or doing another good deed can mean so much to another person. Your good deed may not seem much, but if everyone did something good for someone else, then the cycle of generosity and kindness can spark us to become better people.
Please see our terms and conditions.
